| HISTORY | ||||
The history of Peters Shipyards goes back to the year 1896 in which Mr. J.G. Peters opened a shipyard in Dedemsvaart, in the Eastern part of the Netherlands. Over the years the shipyard built small ships, sailing ships and later motorised spits barges. In 1968 the firm moved to the city of Kampen. This harbour location on the River IJssel offered new opportunities, as this stretch of water was an important juncture with all major Dutch rivers and canals. |

Involvement | |||
The family business has gradually changed from a traditional shipyard into an international network organisation. Yet the values that made the company great remain. Customer involvement, solidarity with the shipping industry and own product responsibility continue to be characteristic features of Peters Shipyards. In the "ship process" items such as quality and reliability ensure that ships are delivered in perfect condition. |

| Strategic co-operation | ||||
In the large 180 m x 40 m harbour Peters Shipyards currently realise one new cargo ship every month. Through strategic co-operation with co-manufacturers and shipyards in Eastern Europe the shipyard is able to supply high-quality ships at a reasonable price. |
